2024 Atlanta Pride Parade

“I am sorry.” The Christian response to LGBTQ+ people may indeed be that simple. You can read my blog 3 Words LGBTQ+ People Want to Hear to see what I mean.
We invite you to join us at the Atlanta Pride Parade in October, which draws over 300,000 people! Our group will meet up and attend the parade together, being fully available to engage with people on their terms. They will easily spot us with our “I’m Sorry” shirts and signs. We will engage, listen, apologize on behalf of Christians, understand those skeptical or angry, give long hugs, cry some tears, and be ambassadors of healing and reconciliation, with one simple agenda: love.
To ensure you have all you need, we’ll be hosting a virtual training session on the evening of 10/3. In this session, we’ll discuss things like effective messaging and listening, anticipating and de-escalating challenges, and day-of plans. Also, we’ll provide you with a super cool “I’m Sorry” T-shirt for the event! And we’ll meet up for a meal after the Parade to compare stories.
MTR friends near and far, join us! If you travel in, we’ll help coordinate lodging for you. Together we’ll help “make things right” in a tangible way at the ATL Pride parade.
