If you ask LGBTQ+ people why most of them have little involvement with Christians and the church, many would share heartbreaking stories of hurt and rejection, and needing to get as far away from that as possible. Redeeming this narrative is at the heart of all we do.
Making Things Right is helping reform the Christian response and responsibility to LGBTQ+ people via advocacy, thought-leadership, resources, events, and synergistic partnerships. You can learn more about our history, our work and our team at the About MTR page.
Since our launch in November 2021, we’ve had increasing reach through various outlets. Here’s some of our stats through year-end 2024:
What encourages us most about the metrics is they help validate that our message is resonating with Christians of all beliefs. Contrary to conflicting rhetoric, we observe a growing number of Christians and churches seeking a more compassionate, inclusive posture with their LGBTQ+ neighbors.
In October 2024, Making Things Right became a 501(c)(3) organization to help further our work. Your tax-deductible contributions will support our 2025 initiatives we hope to expand:
Staff: Expanding the Director role will enable Kelly to bring our initiatives to life and to further develop key relationships and synergies across the country.
“I’m Sorry” Tour: Learning from Atlanta Pride 2024, Kelly is traveling to 3-6 cities to mobilize and equip MTR friends to have an intentional, healing presence at local Pride events.
MTR Connect 2025: We’re planning another online event season where Brian will interview key organizations, thought-leaders, and churches leading the way to a more compassionate, inclusive Christian posture toward LGBTQ+ people.
MTR Podcast Season 2: Our 2025 Event Season will be reproduced into our next round of podcasts for greater reach, distributing to news and existing channels via grass-roots and advertising partnerships.
Conferences: Brian and Kelly divide and conquer, traveling to key events to build synergies and advance the message of a reformed Christian response to LGBTQ+ people.
