If you ask LGBTQ+ people why most want nothing to do with church, the brave ones would share heart-wrenching stories of hurt and rejection.
Recently, a small group of us went to the Atlanta Pride Parade to say “I’m Sorry”. Thousands of folks saw our little crew with our shirts and signs, producing countless conversations, hugs, tears, and thank you’s.
We came away reminded how simple and impactful a Christ-like posture can be — in stark contrast to this this image.
Whereas they called for LGBTQ+ repentance, we focused on our own. Quite simply, we showed up to be to be ambassadors of healing and reconciliation, with one simple agenda: love. What a day!
