MTR Connect | Sides A-B-X-Y & Not Taking Sides | Justin Lee & Gregory Coles

October 16 @ 7:30 pm - 8:45 pm

Free

MTR Connect is a gathering of curious Christians seeking to make things right with LGBTQ+ people.

Some of us know the terms Side A and Side B, but what about Sides X & Y? All these “sides” reflect the diverse theological positions on homosexuality. At this event we’ll explore their origins and relevance, to better understand the landscape.

Still, there is a problematic word here: “Side”. Whereas these terms can serve to define one’s personal beliefs, they can also create battle lines. In my work, I observe many individuals advocating on behalf of LGBTQ+ people and the church. Yet it’s tough to find ones wanting to reach across the theological aisle in search of common good. On this call, you’ll hear from two shining exceptions.

Join me and my friends Gregory Coles (“Side B”) and Justin Lee (“Side A”) as we thoughtfully engage in discussion on all the sides… and how to not take sides in relationships and ministry.
